Piotr Wróbel, CCO of Alphabet Polska, took part in a debate on sustainable mobility as part of the annual industry conference of the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (PZWLP) "Evolution or revolution? Trends changing the automotive market and mobility in today's world."

Piotr Wróbel, Chief Commercial Officer of Alphabet Polska, mentioned that the transformation of car fleets into being more environmentally friendly is already underway and it is both an inevitable and extremely necessary process. If we expect it to be successful, we must approach it consciously and comprehensively.

“Such a holistic approach begins with a thorough analysis of the starting point and defining CO2 emission goals, and then tailoring solutions to the needs and business profile of a given client. Companies from the Car Fleet Management industry can support clients in this transformation through, among others: sharing good practices and providing professional consulting services and the necessary tools.

What I mean here are primarily digital solutions that allow us to conduct appropriate simulations and determine specific CO2 emission reduction effects for various electrification scenarios. Changes to company fleet policies are just one example. Activities accompanying the transformation also include learning ecodriving and raising drivers' awareness.

Experience shows that electrifying a fleet by force, without support and planning, can have the opposite effect than intended, discourage users from making the change and ultimately do more harm than good. Let us remember that transformation by definition is a process and nothing prevents us from starting electrification with a mixed fleet that includes, in addition to BEV cars, also e.g. PHEV or HEV."
